Late tenants

Send a past-due text or email

Send a ready-made past-due text or email to a tenant from Messaging, or reach everyone behind at once. Late notices are sent by hand, not on a schedule.

4 stepsUpdated

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Messaging > SMS.

  2. Step 2: Pick the tenant, then tap the Past due chip under Quick messages to fill in the text. Edit it if you like.

  3. Step 3: Click Send SMS. For email, open the Email tab and do the same.

  4. Step 4: To reach many tenants at once, use Bulk Messaging with its Send Email / Send SMS switch.

Good to know

  • There are no automatic late notices today. The Enable Late Payment Notices switch in Settings is saved but sends nothing, so send these by hand.
  • Texts go only to tenants who have opted in, from the shared toll-free number. Replies land in Message History.
  • Rent & payments > Reminders > New Reminder, then the send icon (Send now), is another way to send one.
