Take a card payment at the counter or by phone
Charge the card a tenant has on file or type in a new one from Rent & payments > Collect, with no separate terminal.

Before you start
- Stripe connected for the facility.
Steps
Step 1: Open Rent & payments > Collect > Take payment.
Step 2: Pick the tenant.
Step 3: Click Pay with card on file to charge their saved card, or Pay with new card to type in a card they read to you. Add card saves a card for next time without charging it.
Step 4: Confirm the amount. The payment shows in Transactions and on the tenant's ledger.
Good to know
- Cash and checks are recorded with Record payment on the same screen.
- Card payments go to your own Stripe account; the app never sees full card numbers.
