Turn on autopay for a tenant
Save a card for the tenant, then switch autopay on and pick the day of the month. Declined cards are retried a few days later.

Before you start
- Stripe connected for the facility. Autopay needs a saved card.
Steps
Step 1: Save a card first: Rent & payments > Collect > Take payment > pick the tenant > Add card. (Or Add card on the tenant's page.)
Step 2: Open Rent & payments > Collect > Autopay and pick the tenant. A tenant with no card shows Open tenant to add card.
Step 3: Switch Autopay status on and confirm with Yes.
Step 4: Choose the Day of month it should run.
Good to know
- The tenant's page also has Enable autopay / Disable autopay, and its Autopay card shows OFF, REQUESTED or ON.
- Autopay collects the balance once a month, retries most declined cards a few days later, and switches itself off for a dead or expired card. Autopay Activity under Collect > Autopay shows what ran.
- Tenants can do this themselves in the portal: Add card, then Turn on autopay.
