Put a tenant in a unit without the wizard
Assign an existing tenant to a unit from the unit's page, or unassign them to free the unit, when you do not need the Move-In Wizard's charges and lease.

Steps
Step 1: Open Tenants & Units > Unit List and open the unit.
Step 2: Choose Assign Tenant from the unit page menu, search for the tenant under Select a tenant, and click Assign.
Step 3: To free a unit without a move-out, choose Unassign Tenant and confirm with Unassign.
Good to know
- Assign Tenant only links the tenant and the unit. It does not prorate rent, create a lease or take a payment; the Move-In Wizard does all three.
- A tenant who matches a Do Not Rent entry shows a DNR Match Found warning first.
- Unassign does not settle the ledger or switch off the gate code; Move out does.
